Why do we run?
\nto see a new view over the brow of the hill
\nto see inside ourselves, smell the wild air
\nknow the trees and feel the space, the air holding us
\nfor the joy at the end.
\nThe people in Gaza have been running uphill for a long, long time<\/p>\n

\nto run
\nto be
\nto think
\nto breathe
\nto collect ourselves
\nto hide
\ntime runs as the people in Gaza strain for return<\/p>\n

as a child I loved to make dens in the countryside with hay bales
\nor in the woods
\nas a child I loved to be a dog
\nas a child I loved to race my brothers
\nas a child I loved to read on my own
\nas a child I loved to wander free with friends
\nthe children of Gaza have lost the right to wander<\/p>\n

\nbecause we have to
\nbecause there is no choice
\nideas will not be bound
\n2335 miles from Sheffield to Palestine
\nour thoughts cross in a second<\/p>\n

we protest to protect children
\nto speak the truth, for freedom
\nto make a change
\nwe run to support the people of Gaza<\/p>\n

we run in this moment with the people of Palestine
\naction brings hope, hope creates change
\nvoices together
\nwe cheer for the runners
\nwe cheer for freedom
\nwe cheer til we\u2019re hoarse<\/p>\n
