small park BIG RUN – Runners’ FAQs

  1.  REGISTERING FOR THE EVENT

What if I have specific requirements?

We are committed to being as inclusive as we can be: you can take part in the manner that suits you best and in any of the available timeslots. We are especially wanting to improve support so that disabled people feel they can join in. We will provide as much additional support as we can between 4:00 pm and 5:00 pm on the Saturday, two relatively quiet slots, and between 11:00 am and 12:00 noon on the Sunday, two busier slots. If you would like to run at a different time, please do – we will try to get support you need.

There is a question on the order form asking participants if they want us to contact them about their specific requirements which you can select when booking but also if you do have any requirements, or have information you think we should be aware of to enable you to participate in small park BIG RUN then you can email small.park.big.run@gmail.com with the details and we will do our best to make the necessary arrangements.

What if I cannot afford the entry fee?

We are committed to being as inclusive as we can be.

There is a concessionary ticket available at a reduced rate aimed at under-18s, people on a low wage and others who consider themselves eligible.

There are also a few tickets for runners that are free. These are aimed at those without funds particularly destitute asylum seekers, refugees and unwaged.

We are also really keen to ensure families can take part together and there are two options to help.

  • We have a family ticket available: this is for two adults and up to three under-18s. Please choose the “Family: up to 2 adults, 3 under 18” option. PLEASE NOTE: we will assume that all family members will want to run at the same time(s). If some family members want to run at different times then please email small.park.big.run@gmail.com with the details and we will sort it out.
  • You can also register for the fun run which will take place at 12.15 pm on Sunday 19th June. Entry for that half an hour is free. Details will be published on our website.

Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?

There are no minimum age requirements.

Anyone under the age of 11 must be accompanied by a parent/carer, who must have them in their sight at all times.

Anyone between the ages of 11 and 16 may run independently, but must have permission of a parent/carer, who must take responsibility for their well-being and safety.

We want to make this an enjoyable experience for everyone and include as many of the local community as possible. If you are having trouble making arrangements please contact us
